International Undergraduate Bursaries

A bursary is a monetary gift based on demonstrated financial need and satisfactory academic achievement. Bursaries do not have to be paid back to the university. Students may only receive one bursary assessment per academic year, to an established maximum amount.

Bursary assistance for international students is only available during the fall and winter terms; due to extremely limited funding, no bursary assistance is available during the spring or summer terms.

The total amount of available bursary funds are divided equally between all eligible applicants. International students must have adequate resources to finance their education apart from any assistance provided by the university. Basic living and education costs are to be met by the student or their sponsor.

Applications for these bursaries are accepted only after registration at Laurier and the commencement of classes.

• proven financial need
• full-time registration in an undergraduate program
• satisfactory academic achievement
• value international student visa

   Deadline: January 19th, 2015

First-year recipients must have a minimum final average of 80% on the courses used to determine university admission. The coach decides the value of scholarship.

Other Scholarships

International students can apply to scholarships and awards in their second, third or fourth years at Laurier that are based on year of study, program of study, athletics and extracurricular involvement.
