University of Guelph Scholarship
All eligible students with a minimum 85.0% admission average applying to the University of Guelph are automatically considered for a University of Guelph Entrance Scholarship.
All eligible students with a minimum 85.0% admission average applying to the University of Guelph are automatically considered for a University of Guelph Entrance Scholarship. The scholarship offer will be made with the offer of admission to students who qualify. Whether a scholarship offer is made with an admission offer or not, all students will be re-considered for this award in May and July and have the opportunity to qualify or better their award. By mid-May students will receive a letter confirming their previous scholarship offer and/or new scholarship offers. Final grades are reviewed in July and all students who meet the admission average requirement for the first time, or improve their admission average to 90.0% or greater are sent a letter confirming the scholarship by the end of August. Students who received a University of Guelph Entrance Scholarship offer prior to our evaluation of final grades must maintain a minimum 80.0% final admission average.
Students who have a complete admission file by March 1 will automatically be considered for our entrance scholarship based on available grade information.
Scholarships range from $2.000 - $5.000 CAD.
Undergraduate Entrance Awards
International Scholarships (merit-based visa students) $500-$6.000
Awarded on a competitive basis to new semester one students for the fall entry point. Students must have a complete admission file by March 1 to be considered. No scholarship application is required, however, you may send in a Student Profile.
International Registrar’s Entrance Awards (need-based visa students) $500-$3.000

Canada Citizens and Permanent Residents are automatically considered for University of Guelph Entrance Scholarships.
Scholarship offers will be sent to successful candidates with the offer of admission to the University.
Non-Canadian citizens or non-permanent residents entering post-secondary studies for the first time and registering in the first semester of a degree program in the fall semester.
Exception: An International Student studying at a Canadian high school is only considered for a University of Guelph Entrance Scholarship.
1. Submit an application for admission.
2. Ensure that my admission application is complete and all documents are received by the University of Guelph no later than March 1.
3. Complete the Student Profile form ensuring to list extra-curricular activities.
