  • The financial aspects of being an international student at the University of Liverpool:
    Undergraduate fees
    The University offers a fixed fee guarantee for all full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students from outside the European Union (EU) (except those studying Medicine or Dentistry). This means that tuition fees will not increase during studies enabling students to plan finances effectively.

    Undergraduate scholarships
    Any student who pays tuition fees at the international or overseas rate is eligible to be considered for our international scholarships. A student paying EU fees is not considered an international student for the purposes of these scholarships.

    And also UoL has Postgraduate coursework, research financial aid and scholarships.

    Some of UoL’s undergraduate scholarships:
    • Vice Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship – PGT: New international students on non-clinical programmes achieving AAB in A-level exams or equivalent qualification. Year one award of £2,500.
    • International Baccalaureate (IB) Award: New international students on non-clinical programmes achieving a minimum of 36 points in the full IB Diploma. Year one award of £2,500.
    • Liverpool Affinity Award: For children, siblings or spouses of current students or alumni, or exchange students returning for further study. £500 per year.
    • Sport Liverpool Scholarship: Talented athletes competing at national/regional levels. Up to £2,000 to support performance.
    • Liverpool International College (LIC) Merit Award: All international students that achieve 70% or above in their LIC Foundation programme progressing onto a non-clinical degree. £2,500 available for duration of study if attainment remains at 70%.
    • LLB Law for Graduates Scholarship: The LLB Law for Graduates Scholarships is available to non-EU international students who have excellent degree results. £3,000 available for duration of study if attainment remains above 60%.

    Some of UoL’s postgraduate scholarships:
    • MA Irish Studies and MA Understanding Conflict International Scholarship: This scholarship provides full-time international (non-EU) students studying on the MA Irish Studies or the MA Understanding Conflict Studies with financial assistance towards the cost of their fees.
    • Chevening Scholarships: Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The Scholarships are an important element in Britain’s public diplomacy effort and bring young professionals, who have already displayed outstanding leadership talents, to study in the UK.
