The UEH / VUW BCom Joint Programme 2015
This Joint Programme is designed to give Vietnamese students the opportunity to graduate with a Victoria Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
UE - This Joint Programme is designed to give Vietnamese students the opportunity to graduate with a Victoria Bachelor of Commerce (BCom). Students can study up to half of the BCom degree in Vietnam. Established in 2002, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand (VUW) and the University of Economics, HCMC (UEH) have created a high-quality learning environment with library, learning and computer facilities. The Joint Programme uses Victoria curriculum and teaching methodology. The courses are taught by experienced, wellqualified Vietnamese and Victoria University academic staff and alumni.
About Victoria’s BCom
The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) is designed to equip graduates for a successful future in today’s challenging and exciting commercial environment. It provides a strong foundation of the essentials required for work in all areas of private business and public administration, while enabling students to focus on a major that suits their interests and career plans.
The BCom degree normally requires three years of full-time study over two trimesters each year. For most BCom major choices the first half of the degree can be completed in HCMC. Students must choose at least one major for their degree.
Some majors (such as Accounting and Information Systems) require a longer period of study in Wellington.
Well-qualified students graduating from this programme have found excellent employment prospects globally in a range of jobs, including outstanding opportunities in Vietnam and New Zealand. A number of alumni are employed in the private sector in Vietnam and have worked in companies such as KPMG, the Investment and Trade Promotion Center of HCMC, ANZ Bank, Vietnam Airlines and Fonterra, while others have gone on to postgraduate study.
