The following scholarships are available to all UWE Bristol international undergraduate students.

I- Academic Merit - Undergraduate Scholarship:

  • Study level:           Undergraduate
  • Award values:       Up to £1,500
  • Award type:          Academic excellence
  • Award duration:    One academic year
  • Number of awards available: Unlimited
  • Nationalities accepted: All international
  • Eligible applicants must:  Have an unconditional offer of a place at UWE Bristol Be a new student and be classed as overseas for fees purposes Not be a sponsored student or in receipt of another scholarship/award.
  • The application deadline is 11 September 2014.

II- UWE Bristol International Scholarships: Postgraduate:

   UWE Bristol offers a range of scholarships for international postgraduate students.

Chancellor's Scholarship.

   Recipients of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Development Office and other departments and will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.

  • Study level:           Postgraduate and Masters only
  • Award values:      100% of fees
  • Award type:         Academic excellence
  • Award duration:   One academic year
  • Number of awards available: 2
  • Nationalities accepted: All international
  • Eligible applicants must: Have achieved the equivalent of a British 1st in an undergraduate degree, Have an unconditional offer of a place by 31 May 2014, Be a new student and be classed as overseas for fees purposes. Not be a sponsored student or in receipt of another scholarship/award.

Chancellor's Scholarship Justice Malek Ahmed Scholarship.

   This scholarship is awarded in the memory of Justice Malek Ahmad, President of the Court of Appeal Malaysia (deceased).

   The recipient of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Development Office and other departments, and will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.

  • Study level:           Masters only
  • Award values:      100% of fees, up to £3,000 towards accommodation
  • Award type:         Academic excellence
  • Award duration:   One academic year
  • Number of awards available: 1
  • Nationalities accepted: All international
  • Eligible applicants must: Have achieved the equivalent of a British 1st in an undergraduate degree. Have an unconditional offer of a place by 31 May 2014 Be a new student and be classed as overseas for fees purposes Not be a sponsored student or in receipt of another scholarship/award
  • Deadline by 31 May 2014.

Global Student Scholarship.

   Recipient of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within Global Student Support. The recipient will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.

  • Award values:       100% of fees
  • Award type:          Academic excellence
  • Award duration:    One academic year
  • Number of awards available: 1
  • Nationalities accepted: All international
  • Eligible applicants must: Have achieved the equivalent of a British 1st in an undergraduate degree Have an unconditional offer of a place by 31 May 2014 Be a new student and be classed as overseas for fees purposes Not be a sponsored student or in receipt of another scholarship/award
  • Deadline by 31 May 2014.

These will be evaluated by the programme director, or a nominee, based on the application and the interview.

  • Study level:           Postgraduate, MBA only
  • Award values:      10% off fees (£1,500)
  • Award type: 
  • Award duration:   One academic year
  • Number of awards available: Unlimited
  • Nationalities accepted: All international and UK/ EU
  • Eligible applicants must: Scholarships will be available to all applicants who provide evidence of the following: Relevant career progression and achievement leading to MBA study Relevant professional and/or academic development leading to MBA study Written testimonial explaining how the Bristol MBA will help the applicant to better understand the business world from different perspectives. How to apply.

   You will be considered for this scholarship as a part of your application.

   The deadline for your application is 1 July for the MBA commencing in September and 1 November for the MBA commencing in January.

International Masters Scholarship.

   For January start only.

  • Award values:      50% of application fees
  • Award type:         Academic excellence
  • Award duration:   One academic year
  • Number of awards available: 2
  • Nationalities accepted: All international
  • Eligible applicants must: Have achieved the equivalent of a British 1st in an undergraduate degree Have an unconditional offer of a place Be a new student and be classed as overseas for fees purposes Not be a sponsored student or in receipt of another scholarship/award
  • Deadline by 31 May 2014.

Professor Arthur Li Scholarship.

   This scholarship commemorates the progressive thinking and contribution to education of Professor Arthur Li, who has been at the forefront of education reform in Hong Kong and holds an honorary degree from UWE.

   The recipient of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Development Office and other departments and will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of their course.
