Laval University

Laval University, is established in 1663, is the oldest centre of education in Canada (4th oldest in North America), and was the first institution in North America to offer higher education in French.

Laval University, is established in 1663, is the oldest centre of education in Canada (4th oldest in North America), and was the first institution in North America to offer higher education in French. Its main campus is located on the outskirts of the historic city in Quebec City, the capital of the Province of Quebec. The university is ranked among the top ten Canadian universities in terms of research funding. Inspired by excellence since 1663, UL has a clear vision for the future: to be one of the best universities in the world.

   UL is a comprehensive university boasting some 48,000 students—a quarter of them graduates—as well as 17 faculties, 60 departments and schools, and nearly 400 undergraduate and graduate programs in every field of knowledge.

   UL is also a leader in the area of research and innovation, with over 1,300 research professors, and $300 million in annual research funding. Every year, it welcomes approximately 4,000 international students from 110 countries.

   Students are actively cooking taste and private practices in the common kitchen. The supermarket and food markets are near schools, no more than 15 minute walking.

   Dormitory of the Laval four independent cottages can accommodate 4,000 students. Each student is arranged in a small room and cozy comfort, free phones and pay TV services, in addition to a restroom and kitchen for each floor is very convenient and clean .

Admission Requirements :

   Fluent in French : At Laval , language is used to teaching is French, fluent in French should be a prerequisite to study here .

   Education :

  • Undergraduate Degree (Première Cycle) must have good GPA.
  • Graduate Level (Deuxieme Cycle), must have good GPA.
  • PhD level (Troisieme Cycle), must have a Master's degree .

   There are no entrance exams but in all cases, the content and learning outcomes of the candidate is important to consider the conditions of their applicatio . For Master and Ph.D. level, students need content and prepare a research proposal. In addition, three letters of recommendation from professors, agency leaders who are working or who understand themselves in a certain time .
