Charles Darwin University Scholarship

CDU Scholarship are sponsored by individuals, businesses, government, community groups and the University, to assist students with the financial burden of studying. A number of scholarships offer students the opportunity to participate in paid work experience during semester breaks and graduate positions on completion of study.

CDU has many types of scholarships, as listed as below:
• High Achievers Scholarships : for student who is an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, and a resident of Northern Territoty, intending to study full time and must complete at least 75% of their units internally each Semester, and enrolled as a student when the scholarship offer is accepted.
• CDU Scholarships : open to all students enrolled or intending to enroll at Charles Darwin University. This include students studying at the Australian Centre for Indigenous Knowledges and Education.
• VET Scholarships : the same as CDU Scholarships.
• Indigenous Student Scholarships : the same as CDU Scholarships.
• International Scholarships : CDU offers a range of scholarships to International students, as well as information about other types of Australian Scholarships available. There are 6 types of this scholarships:
- Vice-chancellor’s international high achievers: a limited number of 50% and 25% tuition fee for international students who have a record of academic excellence and high achievement, apply for full duration of an Undergraduate and Postgraduate coursework.
- Tuition fee discount for siblings: applicant must be on a student visa, must provide satisfactory evidence to prove the sibling relationship.
- AusAID: ADS students enjoy the support services offered to all international students, plus support from the university's designated AusAID Officer, a special Introductory Academic Program (IAP), additional tuition support as recommended by academic staff.
- Australian Government Scholarships: for more information, visit Australia Awards website.
- DIKTI scholarships awardees: Charles Darwin University welcomes applications for Master by Research and PhD degrees from DIKTI scholarship awardees.
- Australian Leadership Award: CDU participates in the Australian Leadership Awards (ALA) to provide high quality masters and doctorate degree programs to current and future leaders from the Asia Pacific region. ALA scholarships cover tuition costs and a living allowance and are allocated on a competitive basis.
- International Financial Aid: for students from US, Canada and India.
- ACER International Student Scholarship(AISS): for international who wishes to study for a 1st year undergraduate Business degree at an Australian university.
• Research Scholarships : for PhD degree at Charles Darwin University.
And number of external scholarships made available by government departments, businesses and industry groups. Applications will need to be sent directly to the external agency supporting the scholarships on offer.

Who can apply for scholarships ?
Anyone can apply for a scholarship as long as they meet the eligibility requirements. Each scholarship has information and you should read it first to see if you match the criteria.
You can apply for as many scholarships as you like. If one of the scholarships you are eligible for says you can only have that scholarship you can still apply for others but when it comes to accepting them you will need to choose which one to take.
All closing dates for scholarships are published on the Scholarships website and on the information sheets for the individual scholarship. Late applications can not be accepted.
